Our variety of networking events is the most effective and impactful way to bring the entire community together with the goal of creating value through working with, and helping, each other. We deploy several types of networking events to maximize the opportunity for attendees to meet each other.
General Networking Events (avg. 100 attendees)
These events are usually held in a large event space after business hours. While these open invitation events do not have specific themes, we often include brief pitches or “ask the audience” opportunities for hand-selected entrepreneurs to get exposure to a larger audience—a one to many networking opportunity.
Facilitated Networking Events (avg. 30 attendees)
In 2013 we launched our highly effective facilitated networking events. These events provide attendees a more structured opportunity to meet a mix of entrepreneurs, programmers, service providers and investors in order to offer and receive connections and practical advice.
StartOut Salons (avg. 30 attendees)
These invitation-only mixers, dinners and breakfasts are structured around a particular topic or interest. This acknowledges the fact that StartOut is stage and industry agnostic. For example, one annual salon is organized solely for investors to network with experienced entrepreneurs who have raised capital in the past.
Tech Dinners (avg. 40 attendees)
These curated networking events are structured to pair business-minded entrepreneurs with technology experts with the goal of creating connections to establish founding teams. Currently, these events have been executed solely in our New York chapter.
