StartOut Announces New Board Leadership and Assignments

April 2, 2025StartOut, the national nonprofit championing LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs, announces its new slate of officers on the Board of Directors, signaling a continuance of strong governance and continued growth for the organization.

New board assignments include:

    • Chair: Genesis Garcia, Vice President, J.P. Morgan Asset Management
    • Vice-Chair: Hernan Lopez, Founder, Owl & Co.
    • Treasurer: Rick Kleczkowski, Entrepreneur and Partner, Sero Partners
    • Secretary: Charlotte Hamilton, Entrepreneur and CEO, TAF Carbon
    • Audit Chair: Miguel A. Lopez, Shareholder, Littler
    • Nominating Chair: Lorenzo Thione, Entrepreneur and Managing Director, Gaingels
“Our new officers – like all our board members – bring experience, passion and commitment to their roles,” said StartOut CEO Brian Richardson (he/him). “With their leadership, StartOut will continue to create new and better opportunities for LGBTQ+ entrepreneurs.”
Mohit Jolly (he/him) will step down following a two-year term as Board Chair. During his time, Mohit played a key role in guiding StartOut through a period of transition, including the appointment of Brian Richardson as CEO and the launch of several new initiatives.

All officers were elected to a two-year term.
